Random May

The month of May passed super fast.  School came to an end and summer began.  Which means we have tons of strawberries.  Boone eats them like they are going out of style.

Our cat had 3 little black kittens.

The boys enjoyed time spent in their gator.

And Sexy Farmer was able to help move his grandma out of her home and into an apartment.  They boys helped too.

 On the way to Emmet to help her move, they saw a beautiful double rainbow.

And we announced that we are expecting baby #5.

Tight Bibs

I have decided that my boys are seriously hilarious.  We have been watching some funny you tube videos lately and one day while I was sewing they told me to watch because they had a surprise for me.  Check this out.

There's a farmer in Kansas who makes parody music videos and posts them to you tube.  He made a parody of Jimmy Fallon's "Tight Pants" song called "Tight Bib Overalls".  The boys sing it nonstop.  I laughed so hard after they left the room and had to immediately call Sexy Farmer to tell him what his sons had been up to.

Lilli's Birthday

 Lilli turned 14!  Crazy!  We had the hardest time thinking of things to give her for her birthday.  Hoss decided she needed books.  His school library was going through some cleaning and they had a table where you could take 2 books home a day for free.  So, every day for a week, he would bring home books for her birthday.  We then embroidered her a beach towel and painted the mirror in her bedroom so it would match.

Duke then took it upon himself to make sure she got all 14 of her birthday spankings.

We really miss having her around every day.  The boys are always asking when she will come back and why she likes it in Utah better.  Those are hard questions to answer.  But, when she is here, we try to make the best of it and enjoy her as much as possible.

Tiger Achieved

Hoss had his final pack meeting as a Tiger Cub.  Community Packs cross over at the end of the school year, which I didn't know.  I assumed they crossed over at the end of summer.  However, I was wrong, and they begin summer as the a member of the new den.  So, once I learned that bit of information, I made sure all the boys in my den were ready to earn their Tiger Cub rank.  So, here is Hoss earning his final awards as a Tiger Cub.  He received:

He has grown so much in this program.  I'm really happy that we decided to enroll him early into cub scouts.  He has so much fun and realy prides himself in making sure he does a good job, tries hard, and is a leader to others.   He's really made us proud.

Quads with Friends

The annual Johnson/Schulthies 4-wheeling adventure came early this year.  Normally they go in July, but I guess a break in work pushed it up this year.

Hoss was pretty embarrassed to be driving around girls.  He got really shy. Duke was very excited to pack a lunch.

But his embarrassment turned into showing off.  He's so funny.

Duke Scriptures

When Duke reads with Hoss and I he always wants to take a turn reading.  So, we started letting him.  He makes up his own stories and it's quite funny.  It started out as stories about the Big Bad Wolf, but he's listened to us read the Book of Mormon so much that his reading as turned into stories of the Lamanites and Nephites. 

Tooth be Gone

Hoss has a front tooth that's seriously got to go.  He plays with it so much that it doesn't even fit in his mouth anymore and he just looks like a goon.

Today I decided that it's time to get that thing out.  I turned it once and pulled...

and now he looks soooooo much better.

Mother's Day

Mother's Day was nice.  We went to church where Duke made me this cute picture.  Then we came home and the boys let me take a nap.

Lilli called later that night, so it was nice to talk to her.  Sexy Farmer made me dinner, which is always special, and I was able to just relax all day.  My boys sure know how to take care of me.

Bowling Night

For Family Home Evening we decided to go bowling.  We were the only one in the entire alley so Sexy Farmer asked if they would turn off the lights and we could do cosmic bowling.  The guy happily agreed.

The boys immediately started dancing and showing off their moves.   Duke was super excited that his clothes were glowing.  Boone was pretty impressed as well.

Page 400!

Hoss has made it to page 400 in the Book of Mormon.  I am so proud of him.  He has gotten so much better at reading and he's actually had notes sent home from school commenting on his progress.

He loves the stories in the book.  He's always asking questions and wanting pictures drawn so he can truly understand what is happening.  He's asking for a Book of Mormon themed party when he finishes.  He wants his guests to come dressed as their favorite Book of Mormon hero or villain.  He's so excited.
