Hoss doesn't turn 8 for a couple more weeks, but the Wolf leader at church invited him and all the other July birthday's to their Day Camp. He was excited to be able to go to both camps and make more stuff. This time he came home with another rocket, a leather bracelet (but not a bracelet!), his boat that he needs to paint for the raingutter rigatta, some pretty sweet new campfire songs that I really wish I would have recorded, and......
some new fire starting skills.

Gender Reveal Party
My sister, Danna Jo, offerend to host a gender reveal party for us to make it fun. I went in for my ultrasound and had the technician print a picture of the gender and put it in a sealed envelope. Sexy Farmer then took the envelope to town while he was getting parts and had one of the guys at NAPA in Ontario open it up and call my sister. Here are the results.
Hoss REALLY wanted a girl. I think he misses Lilli so much. He shed some tears, but I think he's happy for a brother now. One of the games we played was a guess the gender and to also suggest what we should name the baby. Here is everyone's guesses/suggestions

Father's Day
I love the father of my kids. I really, Really, REALLY do. To start the day off the boys and I made him breakfast in bed. We made all his favorites, eggs, toast, bacon, o'brien potatoes, orange juice, and pancakes. Just as we got it finished and on a tray to take in the bedroom, he came walking out to use the restroom. So, we told him to hurry up and get back in bed. We then let him rest again before 12:30 church. After church, we again let him rest. So he got quite a few naps in!
He asked for a new cowboy hat so his ears don't burn so bad while irrigating and fixing things, so we told him to go pick his own. Doesn't he looks snazzy?

Farm Picnic
Every year in June, Sage Farms has their annual picnic. This year they had some big bubbles that you could play in. The boys loved them, especially Hoss.

Swimming Lessons - Round 1
It's summertime so we started up swimming lessons. Duke was assigned to a lifeguard named Ashlee and he adores her.
He talks about her daily and says she is his girlfriend. He is still a level one only because he can't touch the bottom of the pool floor yet to walk 5 feet unassisted.
With Hoss this year, we decided to go with private lessons. Last year he never advanced past level 2 simply because in the group setting he would start playing instead of listening. He got Sadie as his teacher and he will have her as his instructer through the entire summer. She's really great, so I'm excited to see if he is able to make any progress this year.

Page 500!
Page 500! Five Hundred! I'm so happy that he hasn't given up! He can see the light at the end of the tunnel and he's excited. He'll be finished before he knows it.

Day Camp
Hoss was able to attend his first Day Camp for cub scouts. I originally signed up as a walking leader so I could hang out with him all day, but then I got a call from the District leaders asking if I would be in charge of one of the stations, the Dino Dig. I said yes, because I knew I would still be able to see Hoss through out the day and eat lunch with him. On my itinerary, I noticed that I had a couple class times that I didn't have any groups, so I joined in with Hoss and his group during those times.
While I was with him, he was able to make a marble bag and learn a new marble game, eat lunch, and then shoot BB guns. At the end of the day, he said that he really enjoyed himself, which is always good to hear. He came home with a rocket, tic tac toe game, his marbles, and a music shaker.Saturday, June 6, 2015
Leading the Parade
Hoss' cub scout pack was asked to lead the flags during a parade in the park honoring the heritage of Ontario. Hoss was able to carry a gun. He was pretty excited.

Cousin Picture
My Uncle George passed away so at the luncheon after the funeral we gathered for a cousin picture.
Each time we take this picture, there are always different people in it. We need to one day get everyone together. Maybe someday.
