July Recap

Here's yet another monthly recap.  We started off July with Duke wearing my heels.  I know it's a phase that all kids go through, but it's still cute.

The boys worked with Sexy Farmer some more.

I don't know what it is, but he can always manage to get them to sleep.  He must work them hard!

Then Duke made a mess while I went to the bathroom.  It always amazes me how FAST they can make messes.  If you look close, you can see that he's got his own little loading operation going on.

Then one day while I was bathing Boone in the sink I realized I forgot to grab a towel.  I had Hoss watch him while I fetched one from the bathroom.  When I returned I found this.

Again, I'll say it amazes me how FAST kids do things.  I asked Hoss how they were both supposed to fit in the sink, to which he replied, "It's fine Mom.".

Hoss is always so helpful with the younger boys.  Even though they smashed my clean load of laundry, they were happy.

My sister watched the boys while I was at the temple.  I checked my phone as soon as I got out and found this picture of Boone, sent by my nephew, with the caption... "Your son in a pink bib."  

We saw beautiful scenery outside our house.

This next series of pictures of Duke are all within a 10 minute timeframe. He's such a BUSY boy.
First up - pestering the cat.

2nd - testing Hoss' helmet and 4-wheeler.

3rd - filling up his pick-up with gas (aka water)

4th - stealing the stroller from Boone.  As you can see, he wasn't happy about sharing.

Once Duke left again, our dog ran over and stole Boone's cracker and left slime all over his feet and stroller.   He was pretty disgusted.

While we were doing all of this, I got a couple texts from Sexy Farmer with videos of Hoss.

He now asks to go to with Sexy Farmer everyday.  And since his birthday was the very next day, he has now been asking nonstop for a forklift.

Moving on to other things....I love a man that will help in the kitchen.

While at work Sexy Farmer heard a banging noise coming from the lunch room section of the shop. He asked Hoss where Duke was since he was nowhere to be found.  Hoss said he didn't know.  Sexy Farmer walked toward the noise and realized it was coming from inside one of the lockers.  He opened it to find this.

And yes, Hoss did know where Duke was, since he was the one who locked him inside.

Our ward had a family bowling night.

I had a cub scout activity, so Sexy Farmer took all three boys with him to work this time.  He only had them an hour and a half and this is how he brought them back to me!  Why do they never sleep for me?!?

 Lilli sent us pictures of the fun she was having in Utah.  Lucky girl.

Duke found was scared to death by a frog.

Boone had mashed potatoes.

More 4-wheeler rides.

Watched endless crop dusters.

And today, the last day of the month, Hoss helped me pick beans.  I was so excited because someone had given me a pressure cooker, only find out that what she thought was a pressure cooker inside the box, was in fact just pieces to a pressure cooker and juicer.  Oh well.  So, I gave all my beans to a neighbor.

Boone - 9 Months

9 Month Stats

Height - 27.5 inches

Weight - 17.6 pounds

Boone has started to dance to music, claps his hands, and he can pull himself up and cruise around the furniture.  He eats everything in sight and loves to snuggle with his blanket.  He finished off the last of the frozen breast milk (the entire stash only lasted a little over a month!  sad.)  so now we are forking out the $ for formula. He got his first haircut, and looks much older.

Burley Visit

We hadn't seen Sexy Farmer's sisters for awhile so we decided to head to the Burley, Idaho area for a visit.  One lives in Heyburn and the other lives in Rupert.  We took the 4-wheelers because they said they wanted to go, but once we got there, it never happened.  One was busy with friends, and the other is 8 months pregnant and changed her mind.  I don't blame her.  So, we let the boys play with their cousin all day instead.

The next day all 6 of us were going to head for the Twin Falls temple for a session, but it ended up just being Sexy Farmer and I.

We ended up driving the 4-wheelers all the way back home without even unloading them from the trailer.  As we passed Boise, we decided to head to Nyssa, Oregon and drive around out there.  We got to see some nifty dust funnels which the boys thought were pretty cool.

Wayne Family Reunion

Two years ago, my dad's side of the family started holding a family reunion.  I made the boys pose for a picture by the welcoming sign at the park.  I hope one day that I will be able to snap a picture of them all looking at the camera at the same time.  Lilli was out of town, so she missed the fun.

About a month ago, I was in the local KFC buying some chicken for a cub scout activity.  What I ended up purchasing put me in a drawing to win a pinata.  I never thought anything of it until on the 4th of July I got a call from the KFC manager stating they had drawn my name to win the pinata.  I knew the family reunion was coming up, and that it was also Hoss' 7th birthday, so I saved it for the event.

Duke wanted to run through the sprinkler so I took off his pants, so that's why he's pant less.

They gave out awards to the oldest and youngest male and female.  Boone was the youngest.  He got a piggy bank and an award.

Hoss is 7 Years Old

Hoss' birthday rolled around the same day as our Wayne family reunion.  Which actually turned out pretty nice since it brought lots of other kids to celebrate with.  We started the day with the annual measurement.  He's grown 2 inches.

Then to the Payette Park for the family reunion where we had a cake.

Then Hoss wanted to go to work with dad.

When they finally got home, we opened some gifts.  The younger brothers wanted to help too.

We had outgrown his bike really bad, so he got an upgrade.

Then ended the day at his favorite restaurant, Fiesta Guadalajara.

Then today at church he was given a token to take to the Bishop's office to get a free birthday surprise.  Hoss said there was a treasure chest where they can redeem their token for three items inside the box.  He chose some mustaches as one of his choices.  He was nice and shared.

July Swimming Lessons

The second session of swimming lessons rolled around and again, the boys were excited.  The first session they went at the same time, but this time Hoss goes at 11am while Duke's class is at 11:30am.  I don't really like that since it's hot out for Boone, so I have been leaving him at home with Lilli.

Hoss was more comfortable with the diving board this time.  He actually jumped off all by himself.

They both had the same teacher this session also.  Her name is Aimee Wooton.

Annual 4-Wheeling Trip

The annual Johnson/Schulthies 4-wheeling trip arrived again this year.  Boone and I stayed home.  Sexy Farmer is getting quite good at taking selfies.

Then he shot a picture of everyone else in the group.  It looks like something was rather funny.

Hoss found firewood.

And then drove Grandpa Johnson around.

My kids really look forward to this trip every year.  I'm really glad we have started some traditions.

And this is what they look like when they get back home to me.  Good thing it's summer with no school!
